What We Believe
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
We believe that the Great Commission gives us a duty to share the Word of God with all, including those that serve in the British Armed Forces, and so we especially labour in this corner of the harvest field to ensure the serving personnel in the British Army and Royal Air Force encounter the gospel during their time in service.
All Scripture Readers and SASRA support staff sign this statement of belief:
“I believe in the supreme authority and sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures, as originally given in the Old and New Testaments, as being (not merely containing) the Word of God, revealing His will to men; the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead; the love of God to the world; man’s fall and spiritual death; redemption from sin and from the wrath to come only through the propitiatory sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ; justification by faith; the necessity of the direct work of the Holy Spirit to impart and sustain spiritual life; the essential oneness of all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; and the obligation resting upon all those who name His name, to afford evidence of their discipleship by a life of obedience to His commands.”
