The Royal Air Force
SASRA has ministered to the serving personnel of the Royal Air Force since its inception in April 1918.
At this time, its precedent ministry became the Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Christian Association—SASRA has Scripture Readers working alongside the RAF Chaplaincy at RAF Brize Norton, where they share the gospel with the serving personnel of the nation’s largest RAF station (over 6,000 personnel, representing roughly a fifth of the RAF).
