Fundraising in Tandem

Household Cavalry soldiers nervously mounted a different type of saddle on their Barracks to Barracks tandem fundraiser for SASRA.

On 26 April, SASRA Serving Members Lance Corporal of Horse Jacob Reuter and Corporal of Horse Rob Tonkin completed a Barracks to Barracks tandem ride in aid of SASRA. Their 40-mile journey started at Hyde Park Barracks, the home of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, and finished at Combermere Barracks in Windsor, where the Welsh Guards are based. While there was a lot that could have gone wrong, everything went very smoothly, and the generous giving of supporters enabled the soldiers to raise £2444 for the work!

We are incredibly grateful to all who prayed for and sponsored Jacob and Rob. You’ll be able to read more about their adventure in the next Ready magazine.

There's still time to donate!
