The Cut-Off

Barbara did a sponsored hair cut-off to raise funds for SASRA.

Long-standing SASRA supporter Barbara was inspired to have a sponsored hair cut-off.

This year, our goal has been to grow our income by £200k so we can recruit more Scripture Readers and increase our impact in the military community. We can’t do this without our supporters and we have been challenging you to think of imaginative ways to help fundraise.

Long-standing SASRA supporter Barbara was inspired to have a sponsored hair cut-off. Her church is close to Colchester Garrison and they pray regularly for ASR Gavin Dickson, the local Scripture Reader.

Before, during and after the cut-off.

The hair cut-off event was a great success with forty or so folk gathering to enjoy homemade cakes before hearing about Gavin’s work up the road in Colchester. Barbara’s friend and long-time hairdresser Liz, who is also a member at the church, then stepped up to cut her hair. To date, the event raised £1,250!
