SASRA are looking forward to exhibiting once again next year at the EMW Aberystwyth Conference from 9–16 August 2025. We will be showcasing our work from Tuesday to Friday afternoon at the Mission Exhibition on the main university campus. Scripture Readers and support staff will be in attendance to share about our mission work amongst the men and women of the British Armed Forces.

Our Scripture Readers, who are all ex-Forces and Bible believing Christians, work alongside the Chaplaincy to introduce soldiers and Air Force personnel to a practical experience of the Christian faith. They do so by living and working alongside these men and women, supporting their spiritual and mental well-being, ‘behind the wire’ where the church cannot go.

If you are interested in our vital mission, especially in these days of increased military activity and tension, please consider signing up to our monthly eNewsletter

What is the event?

The Aberystwyth Conference is a unique Christian event. Christians from all over the UK and from around the world gather in Aberystwyth to hear the Word of God, to sing God’s praises, to be encouraged, inspired and equipped to love and live for Christ in His world.

Why attend the event?

The programme includes kids and youth meetings, Bible teaching, seminars and worship, and much more taking place at Aberystwyth University.

What is SASRA’s role in the event?

SASRA will be representing its work amongst the British Army and the RAF. During 9–16 August, we will have Bible Scripture Readers and others presenting the work of the Soldiers’ and Aviators’ Scripture Readers Association at the Mission Exhibition on the main university campus. This showcases the valuable work of our Holy Bible readings about life at this popular Christian event.
