Remembrance Day and the days leading up to it are a period of solemnity and prayer — a sacred time for SASRA — a moment to reflect on the bravery, loyalty and service of our Armed Forces personnel, past and present, in all wars. As we remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice and those that suffered with great fortitude, we are also reminded of the greatest act of sacrifice: Jesus Christ laying down His life, on the cross, to bring salvation to all who repent and believe. Just as our fallen heroes gave their lives for our freedom, Christ gave His life so that sin and death might be defeated once and for all.

We remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice and those that suffered with great fortitude.

This truth is at the heart of our mission. Our Scripture Readers live and work among serving soldiers, aviators and their families, sharing the gospel of the risen Christ, because it is the only message that offers forgiveness, victory over death and lasting hope. In the face of danger, separation and uncertainty, we long for every member of our Armed Forces to know that death is not the end, for Christ has conquered the grave.

We long for every member of our Armed Forces to know that death is not the end, for Christ has conquered the grave.

Remember, pray, and proclaim the gospel that brings eternal peace

Prayer and holiness before God remain vital to our ministry. We depend on the faithful prayers and generosity of supporters to sustain our work among those who serve, and like those before them are prepared to lay down their lives for their friends. Your partnership helps ensure that SASRA can continue to build spiritually fearless and resilient servicemen and women, who do their duty regardless of the cost, and for those born again, safe that their souls are secure in Christ.

Together, let us remember, pray, and proclaim the gospel that brings eternal peace, and help us to make it more available to our professional warriors.
